Elementary grammar

Hello and welcome to Nihongoいちにのさん!!

Let's study Japanese grammar together.

Nを ください

"~を ください" is used when saying what you want to have.
We use this phrase when we order something at restaurants or shops or ask someone to give what you want.

e.g. おみずを ください。

      Omizu o kudasai.

      Some water, please.

 e.g. ステーキを ください。

       Sutēki o kudasai.

       I’ll have a steak.

If you use 「~を ください」 with counter suffixes, you should put the suffix before “ください.”

e.g. ステーキ 2つ ください。

      Sutēki o futatsu kudasai.

      I’ll have two steak.

e.g. このチケット 5まい ください。

Kono chiketto o go mai kudasai.

Can I get 5 of these tickets?
