In this lesson, you will learn how to use the Japanese grammar N1で N2が いちばん な/いA です.
You went to the cake shop you often visit with your friend. Your friend couldn’t decide what to order, so they asked you for a recommendation.
Here’s what you can say in this situation:
“この店でチョコレートケーキがいちばんおいしいです。(このみせで チョコレートケーキが いちばん おいしいです。)"
Today let's learn about "N1で N2が いちばん な/いA です".
👉<Use>
"N1で N2が いちばん な/いA です" is used when comparing three or more items within N1 range and stating that item N2 is the most な/いA among them.
N=Noun, いA=いadjective, なA=なadjective
Let’s take a look at the previous example.
この店でチョコレートケーキがいちばんおいしいです。
In this sentence,“この店”is Noun1 and“チョコレートケーキ”is Noun2, and the adjective is“おいしい”.
“この店でチョコレートケーキがいちばんおいしいです。" means "The chocolate cake is the best at this shop."
⚠N1 is omitted when the range is clear to the listener.
In the example sentence below, since it is clear that the range is “drinks,” N1 can be omitted.
